50. Samual HEADEN

[joel8.FTW]
There are other Headen/Hayden/Hadens who appear in connection with
Priscilla. These are Samuel Headen (married to Lydia Bush and Mary
Norwood)who assisted her in the estate settlement and who became
guardian of her twoyounger girls. Barshaba who was also helped by Samuel
when her husband,
Samuel Hamby died. ( married in Clarke Co., Ga in 1807.) Barshaba gave
Allen Headen of St. Tammary Par., La Power of Att. in 1814, to recover
themonies and goods owed to her husband as a result of his service to
hiscountry. This AllenHeaden, I believe to be the husband and cousin of
Priscilla Headen (not mine), daughter of William and Jane Headen of
Jackson Co., GA. Priscilla named her daughter by Cherry, Rebecca Barshaba
(spelledin the same way as the other Barshaba).
I know that the William Headen family of Jackson Co., Ga are relatedto
these folks but I just don't know exactly how. Can anyone help?
.He married 1st to Lydia Bush, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Bush. She
died and Samuelmarried Mary Norwood in 1817. He had a son Daniel Bush
Headen who witnessed aDeed of Gift in 1818 of Dr. Joseph Murdoch in
Franklin Co. Dr. Murdochwas married to Priscilla Headen. She married
after Joseph's death in 1823 inHabersham Co. to David C. Cherry. Samuel
Headen had several dealings with a BarsahbaHeaden Hamby. She married
Samuel Hamby in Clarke Co. in 1807. I think that Samuel. Priscilla and
Barshaba may be brother and sisters but do not knowfor sure.
